Job Description/Responsibilities

Role: Software Engineer – Video Engineering

Key Screening Criteria:

1. Startup Experience

- Mandatory preference for candidates with strong startup/product company exposure.

- Candidates should have worked in fast-paced engineering environments with ownership-driven culture.

2. Education

- BE / BTech is mandatory.

3. Experience

- Target range: 4–8 years relevant experience.

- Strong hands-on background in distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, media/video engineering, transcoding, streaming, or related infrastructure platforms.

4. Compensation Screening

- Client budget: 70–80 LPA.

- Current CTC should ideally be in the range of 40–50 LPA.

- Maximum acceptable current CTC: 55 LPA.

5. Work Location

- Remote opportunity.

- Candidates can be sourced from anywhere in India.

6. Technical Fit (Must Match JD)

Please ensure the candidate has relevant exposure to:

- Video technologies and media pipelines

- Distributed systems / cloud-native architecture

- Streaming protocols (HLS/DASH/CMAF)

- Codecs like H.264/HEVC/AV1

- Tools/frameworks such as FFmpeg, GStreamer

- Scalable infrastructure/platform engineering

- Troubleshooting encoding/streaming/playback issues

7. Mandatory Screening Before Submission

Do not share profiles without:

- Detailed screening discussion

- Validation against JD and above inputs

- Compensation and notice period confirmation

- Stability check and communication assessment

- Clear understanding of candidate’s hands-on contribution
