Salesforce System Analyst

Job Description/Responsibilities

The Salesforce System Analyst is responsible for translating business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions, ensuring platform stability, and supporting continuous enhancement across Sales, Service, and Experience Cloud. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, product leads, developers, and testing teams to deliver high‑quality functionality aligned with organizational objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

· Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain clear communication channels with business teams, IT departments, and external vendors.

· Assess current workflows to pinpoint opportunities for improvement or automation.

· Author/refine user stories with clear Acceptance Criteria (Given/When/Then) and non-functional requirements (performance, security, compliance, accessibility).

· Scope & prioritize backlog with Product Owner; size stories (t-shirt or story points) and highlight risks/assumptions.

· Break down epics into implementable stories with build tasks, dependency mapping, and acceptance test cases.

· Oversee custom development where needed (Apex, LWC) ensuring alignment with functional intent and scalable patterns.

· Support code and config reviews from a functional perspective (UX coherence, edge cases, exception handling).

· Support SIT: triage defects, perform RCA, and drive quick design clarifications or configuration fixes.

· Own functional go‑live checklist: data readiness, access provisioning, comms & training assets, rollback plan.

· Quality gates: architecture/design reviews, pre‑deployment functional sign‑off, change advisory inputs.

· Track KPIs (lead time, escaped defects, user adoption, performance), drive backlog of improvements.

· Support regular release cycles by validating functionality in lower environments and reconfirming readiness for production deployment.

· Collaborate with DevOps/release teams (Copado) to ensure smooth deployments and proper documentation of changes.

· Perform post‑release smoke testing to confirm system stability.

· Post‑release validation: smoke tests, hypercare functional oversight, and capture learnings for backlog.

· Production Support & Issue Resolution: Perform functional triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution of Salesforce issues

Required Skills & Experience:

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

· Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Excel

· Experience working with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies

· Understanding of ERP, CRM, or custom enterprise systems

· Experience with Salesforce Sales, Service, Experience Cloud, Omnistudio

· Experience with Salesforce APIs, integration tools, and AppExchange products

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline

· Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile BA are considered assets
